"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." ~ Marianne Williamson
Starting Tara Low Photography in 2011 was my first step at not playing small anymore. I quickly realized that my "niche" wasn't a particular service - weddings, or newborns, or seniors, or boudoir - it was a style. In photography circles we call it lifestyle portraiture. The art of the everyday. Storytelling. Capturing authenticity, vulnerability, real emotion, and the individual light within each of my clients.
I truly think real joy comes from giving our best, brightest, and most beautiful self to the world. In addition to my beautiful daughters, photography is the thing that lights me up inside, and I love being behind the camera.
So bring your creative ideas! Let's talk about your beautiful families, tiny squishy newborns, seniors off to change the world, baby bumps, and birth stories. I'm so excited to open this new chapter.
